I own and use a wide variety of tools. I purchased on of these work stations and immediately returned it to the store. While I think the Bosch Company who purchased the Dremel brand a number of years ago has made great strides in improving the quality of Dremel tools they dropped the ball on this drill press. It does not have the ability to do accurate drilling. There is more than a 1/4 inch of play in the mechanism that locks the tool into position. In building a house a carpenter is happy when they hold to 1/4" tolerance. In miniatures a 1/4" off is a disaster.

Karin,

Hmmmm...something doesn't sound right! 1/4 of play is way too much for this type of tool. In which direction is all of this play?

Thanks,

I, too, am curious about conflicting Amazon reviews of the work station concerning its precision and the amount of play.
